I have 2 check box columns one is Start time one is stop time, how can i create a formula to pull the duration in hours between when start and stop are checked? I have automated to capture the date when box is checked but i really need the time in hours.

@Scott Kirn Do you have access to Smartsheet Bridge, that's the only reliable way I can think of to do it with Smartsheet tools. Otherwise you'd need a 3rd party service or script to get the time when the boxes are checked since Smartsheet can't timestamp.

First you will need to leverage the below "Date/Time Stamp Option" to capture a specific time for an action without the need for third party apps. Once it is all set up, you would use a formula with cross sheet references to bring the static date/time stamp back into your working sheet.
Then you would use one of the methods listed in the "Formulas for Calculating Time" thread to get your duration in hours.
