Wrap text in update request

I want to display the wrapped text in workflow automation - Request an Update.
Is there a solution?
Appreciate the comment in advance.

Hi @Ted Hung,
Having tested this on my end, I confirmed that the solution is the same for update requests as in alert emails - to ensure that any line breaks in your sheet are displayed as line breaks in update request notification emails, ensure that the cell or column in the sheet is formatted to wrap text. To do so, click the cell or the column header to highlight it, then select the wrap text button, as seen below:
More information on formatting can be found here: Format your data.
Hope that helps!

On my end, the Status Update workflow ignored the wrapped fields of the Specific fields.

To make sure I'm understanding the issue correctly, could you share screenshots (removing any sensitive information) showing what the text in those cells looks like in the sheet versus what it looks like in those fields in the update request notifications?
Thanks,
Georgie

The column wrapped text

Hi @Ted Hung,
Thanks for providing the screenshots! I see that the email received is the confirmation email that’s received by the sheet owner after an update request has been completed by the recipient, and it looks like wrapped text has been kept in that email, but the line breaks are not kept.
I can confirm that wrapped text shows in update request emails and alert emails, and there’s not currently a way to format how data appears in update request confirmation emails - you can submit your feature request to the Product team by creating an Idea Post in the Smartsheet Product Feedback and Ideas topic here in the Community. This will allow other users to vote on your enhancement idea!
As an alternative solution, you could create an alert workflow that triggers when rows are changed, so that the email received will contain the line breaks.
Hope that helps!
Georgie
