Backup Download Zips Not Extracting

Every couple of weeks we have an automated backup created and we download and save them offline for record retention. We have been doing this for almost two years and at first the data could be extracted but now every single file gives us the error message below and nothing can be extracted. Before I go to our IT Team with a ticket to investigate something related to permissions, has anyone come across this before where none of the backups extract after being downloaded to your local machine?

    Hello Jay,

    have you tried to open the files on different laptop? Is it for all the backups or only few?

    I also save the backup as zip file but it never shown me such issue.

    You might also use another unzipping software like WinZip / WinRAR if the built in windows one gives you this error.

    Hi Tomasz, thanks for the quick reply. I have not yet saved it on a different laptop but that's in my punch list to attempt before contacting IT. When I right click and choose "extract" I always get the error message. Unfortunately I can't download another unzipping software without IT's assistance so that might have to be one of our solution steps if it goes that route. Seems more and more it may be something to do with our network as no one I have spoken to has had this issue.
