Report Grouping

Hello All,

I am working on a report to sort information by the "sheet name" from multiple sheets. When I use the sort feature to get them ascending the report works properly and lists them all together in sequential order. I then add the "Group By" with "Sheet Name" ascending to get the sheet name to separate into groups but oddly it is adding the folder name to only some of the group sheet names, instead of the actual sheet name. I've tried renaming the folder and file but again oddly, the "Group" sheet name will not release the old folder name. Ive refreshed, shut smartsheet down and re created the report several times with the same result. (1st pic doesn't work properly on the report, 2nd pic does work properly - they are 2 different sheets pulled into 1 report, living in the same folder)

    Hello @ChristianFinke

You nailed it, created new folder, copied files into new folder, viola the report works properly. Something must be stuck internally in a cache somewhere I am thinking. Good news is I only have about a dozen or so folders to re create. Thank you, this was driving me a bit crazy.

    Hey @CSears

It sounds like Smartsheet is pulling in folder names instead of actual sheet names for some groups in your report. This could be due to how the sheets were initially named or organized within the folders. To resolve this, try moving the affected sheets to a different folder, renaming them directly in the sheet settings, and then refreshing the report.
