Is there a way to logic-trigger different custom labels/descriptions for the same field?

Is there any way to set up logic in either Dynamic View or Forms so that the trigger displays the same field but changes its custom label? I am building a solution for a performance assessment process where the base questionnaire is the same; however, different departments need to phrase the question differently. Example:

Trigger dropdown field: Please select your department (Department A, Department B)

Follow field: "Qualifying exam"

Department A custom label description: "Were you able to qualify for the exam by maintaining X GPA and completing courses a,b,c?

Department B custom label " Were you able to qualify for the exam by completing project Y?

I know I can make separate fields called Qualifying Exam Department A and Qualifying Exam Department B, but it will make the source sheet so clunky since I have 5 departments and 50 fields as is.
