Target sheet not found in search when trying to create copy row automation

I am looking for help in identifying why a target sheet cannot be located when setting up an automation to copy a row to it.

I am admin on both sheets and able to build this automation on similarly built sheets without issue. Also of note, I have DataMesh and Dynamic Views set between my source and target sheets (not sure if this could be contributing).

Sometimes when a sheet (target sheet) is newly created it takes a couple of minutes for it to show up in search option when selecting for the copy row automation.

As long as you have at least an Admin permission on both the source and target sheet, you should be able to select the target sheet and encounter no error or issue.

Try basic troubleshooting like using a different browser (chrome, edge, or a private browser), or using a different laptop or desktop. If the issue persists it is highly recommended to contact Smartsheet Support to check if there were possible issues.

To close the loop, the issue was that the owner of the target sheet did not have permissions for source sheet. This one was difficult for me to uncover because the owner is not involved with the work currently but rather the creator of the sheet years ago.

I wish the permissions were less cumbersome.
