Let's have some fun! What can you "paint" in Smartsheet using conditional formatting?
I'm running a "Smartsheet Art Challenge" and you're welcome to join in!
Details here:
Ok this was my first attempt to recreate my favorite guitar, my Schecter Hellraiser C1 FR-S. It was tricky with the limited color palette, but I kinda like the limitation because it forces you to make it simple.
I found it easier to use numbers in my cells instead of the name of the color. So instead "red", i just put "1", "2", "3", and "4". This made it easy for me to quickly switch between the colors to see what I liked the most.
It was really fun, and surprisingly meditative!
@SSFeatures That's amazing! Much more involved than my Christmas tree!
I actually was initially using numbers like that too, but I thought for the video it would be easier for others to grasp the concept.
I guess this could be pitched as a stress reliever too or an assistant to better meditation haha.
Thanks for sharing!
What a fun idea!
Thanks for sharing, @Darren Mullen
@Genevieve P. That's a nice present! Looks good :D
Thank YOU for sharing!
@Darren Mullen - I can say with absolute confidence that your SSFeatures browser extension is every effective!
I gave it a solid road test with the need for a 16 colour conditional formatting set of rules across 111 columns to create a masterpiece that I am going to name - "There is Nothing 16-Bit About These Amazing Champions"
@Jake Gustafson, @Peggy Parchert, @Mark Safran @Paul Newcome @SteyJ @Jason Tarpinian @Lauren Dominique
I "may" have enlisted the help of another spreadsheet platform for the initial design which has an alternative colour palette giving the following:-

@Protonsponge, that is amazing! Nice work!
Wow these are awesome!!!
@Protonsponge
WOW! I'm speechless!
That is amazing!
OMG that is incredible!!
Ok, this is not as impressive as the rest of the drawings in this thread, but it was SO MUCH FUN to do! Thank you @Darren Mullen for this iniciative!
Thanks, Darren, for this amazing initiative! It was super interactive and engaging. Leaving my Jin Jang here on this thread as a token of appreciation! 🎨😊
@Marcela @Gabe Cordoba Wow, both of you did well as far as I'm concerned!
Really great way of using multiple colors and shades.
Easy to tell that you made a flower and the Jin Jang :)
@Protonsponge WOAH!!! Y'all are all so inspiring!
Are you the type of person who learns by jumping right in? Or, do you take an education first approach? Blend of the two? Something different? I am curious to know! For me, seeing is understanding! I typically begin with video content to visually grasp initial concepts. Then, as needed, gravitate towards written…
