Is it possible to amend the timeline bar colour based on a status field in the GANTT without having to update the colour of the entire row in the GANTT view?

the only fallback at this stage is to change font colour in the entire row

i only see the option to change the entire row, but this is not ideal

Also is it possible to add the end date from the GANTT onto the timeline view?

You can't change the bar unless it's the whole row… but I noticed you highlighted the text and you can change the text and bar separately if you click "this format". But the bar only has those settings in the entire row setting.

In the gantt settings (not in conditional formatting) you can add add the end date to the bar. Go back to the gantt view and in the top right click the gear and that's where you can put the date or something else on the bar. Example you can concatenate multiple cells into a helper column then put that on the gantt if you wanted more than one value there.

  • Thank you Matt.

I would recommend both of these as product enhancement recommendations as it would be much cleaner to be able to set a RAG on status column only and that be reflected & append start and/or end dates on the timeline view.
