Hello, am trying to lock rows once a cell in one column has been checked

I created an automation to lock rows once the the specific column has been checked, but when i go back to the sheet, i can still be able to edit it. What am i missing, how can i fix this to have rows locked? Thanks

    Hi @DeeKe !

A couple things to consider is if you have admin privileges to the sheet, you should still be able to edit cells even if the row is locked. Also make sure that the automation has ran by seeing if there is a locked icon in that row. For any preexisting rows that have the "Ready to Print" checked you will have to manually run the automation for those rows or uncheck all the rows, save, and recheck them.

    Hope this helps!

If you are the Owner or Admin you would still be able to edit, but other users should not.

  • Ohh that makes sense! Am an admin. Just did a test with an editor and it worked. Thank you!
