Start date based on predecessor completion date?
Is it possible to generate a start date of task based on the completion date of a predecessor?

@amcrandall this solution should still be able to work! What you will have to do is change the end date column from "End date" to "Completed Date". If your end date is a date column it should automatically come up in the dropdown options.

Hi @amcrandall !
Yep! You can set up a finish-start dependency by enabling dependencies in your project settings (right click a header column to see this option). Check out this help article to learn more!

@AKnight for this particular project, we have it set up so that when a task is marked completed it generates a "completion date." Based on the help article it looks like Start Date has to be set up based on and End Date, not Completion Date, unless I am misunderstanding, which is very possible :-)
