Embedding a link into Smartsheet

I have embedded a PowerPoint doc that resides on Sharepoint. When I give access to the smartsheet some individuals can not see the PP deck. The only thing I can think of is that the individuals accessing the Smartsheet do not have access to the Powerpoint on sharepoint.

If my assumption is correct is there a workaround?

To my knowledge there isn't a way to automatically give access in sharepoint from inside smartsheet. Instead of the link to the document you can attach the document to the Smartsheet.

If the link is a requirement the only other work around that I can think of is to manually go into sharepoint and share the document in sharepoint at the same time you share the sheet to the individual that needs access.

I can not find a way to edit my post. To be clear, it's a powerpoint deck that resides on SharePoint that I put in a dashboard. The dashboard is not displaying the deck to some people
