Can you download an asset in Smartsheet that has been attached using the Brandfolder integration?

I thought an asset attached to a row in Smartsheet that was attached via the Brandfolder integration/upload function could then be downloaded from that row (like any other attachment) but the "Download File" option is grayed out when I attempt to download an asset that was attached via the Brandfolder integration. Am I dreaming that there was once a time where those attachments COULD be downloaded? If not, is there a workaround to get to the asset to download it without having to go into Brandfolder?

You cannot directly download an asset in Smartsheet that has been attached using the Brandfolder integration. The "Download File" option will be grayed out for these assets. This is because the Brandfolder integration links the Smartsheet row to the asset in Brandfolder, essentially attaching a CDN link to the asset within Smartsheet rather than storing the asset directly within Smartsheet.

Workarounds:

• Images:
  1. Open the image: Click on the image preview within Smartsheet. This will open the image in a new tab or window.
  2. Use browser's save functionality: Right-click on the opened image and select "Save image as..." or a similar option from your browser's context menu. (See the image below. Note the following CDN link.

     2. To download the image as a jpeg, change the webp part.
• PDFs:
  1. Open the PDF: Click on the PDF preview within Smartsheet. This will open the PDF in a new tab or window.
  2. Download the PDF: Most PDF viewers have a "Download" or "Save" option. Look for this option in the toolbar or menu of your PDF viewer.

Using these workarounds, you can effectively download Brandfolder assets even though the "Download File" option is unavailable within Smartsheet.
