What happens when your Smartsheet account expires?

Hi,

When a Smartsheet account expires, my understanding is that the Smartsheet dashboard/page becomes read-only for 30 days before being deleted. During this 30-day read-only period, are users still able to click on and access hyperlinks embedded within the Smartsheet dashboard/site?

    Hi @ChloeLC,

I can confirm that during the 30-day read-only period when an account expires/is cancelled, hyperlinks within Smartsheet items owned by that account can still be clicked and accessed by users who were shared to those items.

If the hyperlinks are to other Smartsheet items owned by the user whose account has expired/been cancelled, clicking the links will open those items as read-only during that same 30-day period.

After the 30-day period, users will no longer be able to access any items owned by the expired/cancelled account as they will be deleted after this time, but ownership of the items can be changed, or licensed users would be able to create copies of the items during the 30-day read-only period using File > Save as New.

    Hope that helps!
