Workspace

Good morning,

If I create or use an existing Workspace and move all existing sheets, reports, dashboards, forms etc. to that Workspace will that break URL links or will it be seamless to my end users? Or what are the impacts of doing this? I need to clean up my file structure and would like to do this without breaking anything.

Also what are the benefits of a Workspace? Merely to organize sheets/reports/dashboard, etc.?

It will not change URLs, but it could impact their access depending on how they are shared to the assets.

If they are shared to the asset specifically, there should be no issue. If they have access to the asset because they are shared to the workspace it currently resides in, they will need to be shared to the new workspace to maintain access.

As far as I can tell non of my 'assets' are in any workspace, they are under the highest hierarchy of 'Sheets'.

For example I have a 'master' sheet that tracks all my teams projects. Everyone on my team has access to the master sheet via the 'share' capability in in the Sheet.

So in this example below from right to left:
Currently the 'DAS Master Project list' as you can see is under the Hight hierarchy level 'Sheets'.
I want to move it (the 2nd green line) to the Workspace 'DAS' without affecting users access.

Since the users are shared directly to the asset, there should be no issue with moving it to a workspace.
