Indent Under Primary Column with in Form view

Hello,

I have a requisition form and want to indent the "Part No., Item Description, Quantity, Unit Price" columns under the Primary column " Requested By.".

However, I want this to be automatic.

So the idea is when a user fills the form out they can add multiple lines for "Part No., Item Description, Quantity, Unit Price".

Now I understand how to indent lines of data in the sheet view, but is there any suggestion on achieving this in the form view.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Hi @J. Bettell

Smartsheet forms don’t let you automatically indent rows or create parent-child relationships, but you can set it up in the sheet after the form is submitted.

One way to do this is by adding a helper column, like a “Grouping Key,” where users can enter or select something like the "Requested By" name. Once the form is submitted, you can indent rows manually or set up an automation to handle it.

If you want users to add multiple lines, you could also share a separate form link for adding those rows under the same "Requested By" entry.

It’s not automatic in the form, but tools like AppSheet or the Smartsheet API could make it happen if needed.

Let me know if you’d like help with this.
