Smartsheet integration with MS Teams

I work for an organization that uses SSO when logging into Smartsheet. I added some SS tabs in MS Teams and everything worked great the day I added the tabs. The next day however when I went to open the SS tab I go a message saying "Log into Smartsheet to Access this Content". I am using the desktop version of MS Teams when getting this message and I would prefer to keep doing this because all employees at my company are used to accessing MS Teams this way. I did try the online version of MS Teams and it gave me a prompt to "Allow Access" which then allows me to access my SS content in MS Teams. Any thoughts on how to get my SS content to work in the MS Team desktop version?

    Hello, @BradH,

I am thinking that you probably have your permission levels set where folks need to log in. For me, what I have done is added a Smartsheet dashboard as a tab at the top of Teams. From there, I actually select "Website" and will add a PUBLISHED link (where settings are as unrestricted as I can get it) to by dashboard. When folks get on Teams, they can access my dashboard without needing to log in. They will be able to copy/paste that link and share it with other folks, so I wouldn't recommend this if the data is highly sensitive. However, if it is something not as sensitive but helpful for the team, it should work well.

That being said, if you have a report on that dashboard that is filtered by "Current Viewer," it may not function properly without people logging in.

I will note that I use this method because my organization has not allowed us to use the "Smartsheet" app in Teams, at least at the time when I was building these out for certain Teams that I am in.

    Thanks for the reply Deena,

We can use Teams in our organization however the information is highly sensitive and I wouldn't want a link out there for anyone to view. I tried the publish option with some data that wasn't sensitive and it worked fine. Seems to be when I use the desktop version and share the tab with a sheet that the next day, likely when SSO is required, the desktop version it is asking the user to log in to Smartsheet. When using the online version of MS Teams it prompts the user to click an "Accept" pop up which is not offered in the desktop version. Happens even if you have already logged into Smartsheet using SSO and try to open the tab in MS Teams.
