Parent rollup not working for status in all sheets

I have sheets where the status for the children roll up to each level parent, and all the way to the top level. But I am finding some sheets that I am starting to assist on where the status does not rollup. Similar project settings as above. Others have ideas?

Status would have to be a formula. Project settings will not manage the status column.
