How can I format a dashboard to only display the most recent form submission?

I recently built a form for weekly project capacity and status updates. I was able to create a dashboard with metrics pulling project information, capacity percentages, etc., but I am struggling to format it in a way where the dashboard only reflects the most recent submission?

For context - the form and dashboard is only meant to reflect the weekly submission of one person, and then a leader would have dashboard access for easy viewing.

  • This Status Update involves creating two helper columns that move the most recent update into a summary cell. You can add a widget on your dashboard point to that cell in the sheet. Let me know if you have any questions.

Take a look at both pages of the attached PDF.

    Hi @Jason Miller

Thank you for your quick reply. I am trying these formulas but they keep coming up as "Blocked" or "Circular Reference"

If it's helpful, the fields/questions from the form are:

And ideally the dashboard would look like this

  • Without getting too deep hopefully: you are going to need to create either a summary section at the top of the current sheet or a separate metric sheet that has cross-sheet references to pull data in from the original sheet. The summary section will include contain the formulas of the fields you want to display on your dashboard and you point the dashboard to those cells. Kind of hard giving a pretty complex explanation over a comment, but I hope this may help.
