I need to create a high level project on a detailed project that contains a number of indented rows

I have tried to create the high level project sheet using linked cells and the index function however it keeps failing to transfer the information across. I need the sheets linked so that when information is added to the detailed sheet it will update the high level sheet

You would first need to establish some sort of logic for a filter to show whichever rows you are wanting to connect. If there is not logic that can be derived from the existing columns, you can use a helper checkbox column to check off the rows you want shown.

Then you would create a row report that either follows the logic or filters by the boxes being checked.
