Can't create dashboard chart with Report information

I am currently using the Dashboard and Report function but when I tried to created a new chart using the extracted data, this message pops up:

• Selected data cannot be charted. Please select a new range.

What can I do to understand the data that needs to be revised?

You can only chart numerical data. You will need to group the report and then use the Summarize function within the report to get your count / avg / etc. that you want charted.
