One template with scroll down options for different timings of tasks

Dears,

As we know making formulas in duration time is not possible, so I'm looking for other option to make life easy in below scenario:

  • We have several production plants, producing different product types and using different packaging pritnters which has influence on overall project timing for new product introduciton.
  • I would like to create one template with scroll-downs for:
    a) product type
    b) production facility
    c) packaging printer
  • I have the timining for different option counted in weeks, for which I could create source file for i.e. vlookup;

Is it possible to create base on this one template in which based on choosen scroll down options the baseline timing of project will be adjusted accordingly? Or the only option is to create for each timing option a separate template?

Many thanks for all your proposals.

Kind reagards,

Mike

    Cześć :)

    As per discussion here:

    https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/88719/how-can-i-use-a-calculated-duration-that-uses-my-own-formula

    "you cannot place a formula in the Duration column if you're using that column in your Project Settings for Duration"

    And I need to keep it set in Project Settings, as I will be using also 'resource management'.
