Fill formula's with Zapier
Hi all,
At my job, we have been using SmartSheet for a while to manage our service projects.
I am now starting to use Zapier to automatically create a new line for a project in SmartSheet once an upportunity is accepted in our CRM system. However, the autofill formula functionality does not seem to work whan creating a new line with Zapier (I think it should!).
When I try to fill in the formula in the Zapier step, it parses the formula at flat text and not as a formula.
Is there a way to parse a formula as a formula in Smartsheet using Zapier?
Cheers,
Bastiaan

Hi Bastiaan,
Formulas will only autofill when the same exact formula exists on two rows above, two rows below, or one row above and one below. All rows must also be on the same hierarchy.
If you or zapier has to indent the row that enters the sheet as a part of this process, the formula won't autofill. More info on autofill can be found in our help center: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/1641473-auto-filling-formulas-and-formatting
