Microsoft Teams Integration Setup

Hello,

I am having issues with fully integrating Microsoft Teams and Smartsheet. IT has enabled the integration from within Teams where I am successful adding tabs to a Teams channel; however, I am unable to push notifications from within Smartsheet to Teams.

All the documentation I've read makes it seem like the Teams integration should automatically work once enabled. As a Smartsheet Admin, I am unable to locate any additional settings. Any help with my knowledge gap would be appreciated.

Hello @hrifken ,

I noticed that the below requirements enabled our push notifications to execute.

1) Requested Owner to enable Smartsheet on MS Teams Channel.
2) Created Smartsheet Group to match the MS Teams Channel Members.
3) Assigned newly created Smartsheet Group minimum View access to underlying Smartsheet asset.
4) Held a meeting with the MS Teams Channel Members to have them add Smartsheet to their MS Teams.
5) Reauthentication is required when the integrated Smartsheet tab is not accessed regularly.

Hi Erin,

I appreciate the quick response. Unfortunately my issues are pushing the notifications from Smartsheet into the Teams channel. When I attempt to create a Workflow Automation based on a row addition, I do not have the option to select Teams. I assume there's must be a setting somewhere within Smartsheet that I'm overlooking.

Have you had success with notifications within Teams?

Hi Michelle, thanks for the suggestion. This appears to request access to Azure AD which I assume implies an SSO connection which we don't have setup for Smartsheet. I'll check if IT received a Teams request generated by the link in the article.

I had everyone add the Smartsheet App to MS Teams and authenticate via the Smartsheet bot too.
