Employees that have not had sheet access for over a year and no longer work with us are showing up as Members. This is a horiable model and takes all the advantages of smartsheet away. We will need to hirer a full time person to keep up with who is sharing sheets to who and all of that. It's just a lot of Admin time. I have been using smartsheet since 2013, but I think this may be the last year. This model is just bad.

Have others not had issues. Any incite to make me feel like this is not the worst thing ever would be helpful. Thanks for your help.

I have found all the articles reference the User Type report as a resource to help manage our users when in fact, the Sheet Access report is the best. It not only identifies all the users shared to an asset, but identifies who Owns the asset, when the asset was last modified, who the asset is shared to and at what permission level. We turned around and put the ownness on the Owners to audit their shared assets and determine who should be downgraded, removed or (for the assets not modified in over a year) remove ALL shared users. This allowed the owner to keep the asset and the data.

Hello @Charles Osborn - This has been an issue for many people that have switched over. It is an error by Smartsheet that anyone that was ever shared in the account shows up, and they are not helping to fix the error for the people this has happened to. They expect you to clean up your own group.

Many people are having issues as well with the new model - this entire thread below might give you some insights on issues others are having as well.

@michelle.choate@outlook.com are you with smartsheet? or a customer?

@Trang Turtletraxx Thanks for the follow up. I did not find any of the information helpful. Too many bugs in the reports. But looks like Smartsheet finally saw that and has delayed any true ups. I find it really hard to work with smartsheet when the reports don't do what they tell me they do. We are looking to move software after this.
