Notifications on Comments

Do comments and direct responses to comments generate automatic notifications without needing to create a notification workflow? In a newly created dynamic view, I directly replied to a comment but the original poster did not receive a notification of my response. Or at least they did not see one. Do you have to create a workflow automation for this to occur? That seems like it would create too many notifications and overwhelm users if they are getting notified about their own comments too. Is there a way to "filter" the notifications to only be others comments and not your own?

Hi @Delilah,

have you tried adding to your sheet the system column called: Latest Comment? You can setup workflow to be triggered whenever data is changed in this column.
