Importing new data- updating existing
I'm not sure the best way to complete what I need to do. I imported an excel spreadsheet for accounts that are past due into Smartsheet. Is there a way I can have that data updated when my new report in excel runs (which is weekly). I was thinking on using Data Shuttle, but got kind of lost when I got to the "filters" page.
Thank you,
Brigette

hi @Brigette,
Yes the only solution on smartsheet to have the data taken directly from excel (once per weeke etc. ) you can use only Data Shuttle.
I would skip the filtering part of Data Shuttle unless you really need it to filter only the rows in excel that should go and update themselves in Smartsheet.

You will use Data Shuttle for this. The "filters' page is only if you want to filter the source data to exclude specific rows from the Excel sheet. If you want to bring in all rows from the Excel workbook, you can skip this step in the Data Shuttle setup.

An example use case of this would be that my excel workbook has "totals" every 100 rows. I don't need those rows imported. I just want the base data rows. I can set up a filter in Data Shuttle to exclude rows where the "Description" is "Total" so they won't even get imported.
