URL String Query for Column Type: Contact List

Hi Smartsheet,
I'm trying to help a few new users within my organization by prepopulating a couple fields in commonly used forms with the use of URL String Queries. So far I can seemingly prepopulate almost all fields in a form, but the hurdle I've come across is when the column type is a contact list.
The drop down values are intracompany and in the form read like this:
" Firstname Lastname (firstname.lastname@company.com) "
I'm not able to collect this data and push into a URL successfully.
I've found this link to be very helpful (https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2478871-url-query-string-form-default-values?_gl=137mxsi_gcl_auMjkzNjMyODI4LjE3Mzk5MDAyMjY._gaMTQyNTc4OTY5MC4xNzMxOTQ5Mjk3_ga_ZYH7XNXMZK*MTc0MTAzMzk3NS43Mi4xLjE3NDEwMzQwNzEuNDYuMC4w)
, but have I hit the max capabilities of URL String Queries?
Thanks,
Eric

If you just use the email address as the pre-fill value won't it show the display name(s) correctly when matched?
