  • I am sending less than 2,000 character count, but it's not pulling in all of my data. I am referring to the message part only, which pulls in text and field data. It pulls in all of my text, but not all field data.

I am not pulling in the fields, which show below the message. Any thoughts?

    Hi @Charisse W,

It sounds like you’re using placeholders in your automation message, and that your rows contain a large amount of characters in the referenced columns, resulting in the character count of the message exceeding the limit. Having tested this on my end, I found that it appears the message is truncated once the character count reaches 10,000 characters - the automation message then shows “(Message truncated due to length)” at the end.

If that’s the case, would it be possible to include the fields with the message rather than using the placeholders within the message?

If I’ve misunderstood the issue, could you provide screenshots showing the full setup of your workflow, the row in your sheet that’s triggering the workflow, and the notification you’re receiving from the workflow, so that I can understand exactly what you’re seeing.

    Thanks,

    Georgie

  • Thank you for your comments!!! I do not receive truncated message. It may be a server timing issue with saving the data, and when the email is sent. There's not alot of data in the placeholders, and there are inconsistencies in what data is captured in the emails. I may have found a fix: I have noticed that when I put the fields that contain more data(such as a comments field) closer to top, it will capture the data. Then, the fields that have less data, such as a 'yes/no' near the bottom, it will mostly get captured.
