Search not returning results from some sheets

Hi,

I have a lot of sheets and they all have a Sales Order Number column on them.

My team does searches all through the day by SO number using the global search function.

In the example below, the number shows up on 2 of the 3 sheets where it resides.

The line was created months ago, so it should have been indexed a long time ago.

I tried deleting the number and re-entering it just to see if there was some weird hidden character or something.

In the second image below, you can see the number exists on the "Service Jobs" sheet but is not showing up in the search in the first image.

This happens randomly and really has me stumped.

Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening?

you double checked that the sheets with those SO numbers are shared (at least viewers) with those colleagues of you?

there is not a typo like space etc. ?

Yes. I checked the priviledges. I can't see it either and I am the owner of the sheet.

As I mentioned earlier, I even deleted the SO number and re-entered it just in case.

I think the only option for you would be to contact the support in this case as it seems like a bug in the system.

That is truly bizare behavior and glad I am not crazy.

The weirdest thing is it only happens on random lines, which makes you question what you are looking for.

I totally agree but I think you need a smartsheet support on that as it's not normal and looks like a bug.
