How to get dashboard widget to show text values

Hi Smartsheeters! I am trying to figure out why the words in a column used to create the tick marks on the x axis are not appearing. I have googled everything and selected and tried everything I can find but the words will not show up on the x axis tick marks. I know I am missing something because I have seen similar examples, but I don't know what I'm missing. I am looking for something similar to this in terms of the x axis labels:
