  • Is there a way for a form to upload into a cell instead of as an attachement, or to automatically move a form attached image into a cell?

"No, it's not possible. The closest you can come is to trigger an alert on attachment add that includes the attachment link, receive that alert, download the attachment, and upload it yourself to the other location.

Of course, you could avoid all that if you have people attach files as links from the cloud storage directly, therefore already placing the assets in storage rather than looking to Smartsheet to transfer it. You can attach files as links from cloud storage like Google Drive, Box, etc."

  • I have a form set up as a mobile electronic Model Release for photography/videgraphy. I want users to be able to snap a photo on their mobile device of the person signing the release, and have that photo inserted into the filled PDF that is generated via Document Builder.

I understand Document Builder can place an image from a CELL into a image field on a fillable PDF, but the form uploaded images are attachements not cell data. So I am hoping to either be able to include that image in the filled PDF somehow, either by directly including the attachment OR by moving the attachment to a cell before triggering the Document Builder.

All this needs to be automated - I am not going in and manually downloading and reuploading files fro every single form submission that comes in.
