Using Data Shuttle
I am considering using Data Shuttle, initially to update dropdown lists, and have a couple questions. First, is it fairly easy to get up and running and create flows of this type? Second, in a particular case, there are about 30 sheets that need a dropdown list updated from a column in a master sheet of about 500 rows. Not knowing how Data Shuttle works, is it possible to process the 500 rows and update the dropdown lists of 30 sheets in one flow (500 rows processed) or do they have to be done individually (500 rows x 30 sheets = 15,000 rows processed)?
Thanks.

It would just be 500 rows. You only have 1 workflow pulling from the master sheet of 500 rows. The other workflows are updating column properties, not rows.

@Steve Rohrdanz I hadn't seen that before. But based on the documentation, it looks like it will just be the 500 rows that get offloaded.

The setup is relatively straightforward. It would require 31 workflows.
1 exports the column you want to use to update the dropdown column properties and attaches it to the source sheet.
2 - 31 grabs the attachment and uses it to update the dropdown column properties on each of the 31 sheets.

That is fairly straightforward. Regarding Data Shuttle 'rows processed', are 500 rows processed, or are 15,000 rows processed? I am trying to accurately estimate the cost of the integration.

Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
Yes, it's easy. You'd create one Offload workflow, then one Upload, and then you'll make a copy of the Upload and make an update to select the correct sheet for each of the individual sheets.
Make sense?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic day!

@Steve Rohrdanz I have never heard of Data Shuttle pricing being set by number of rows processed. Are you able to provide some context there or a link to something?

I received this from a Smartsheet rep yesterday.

If I'm not mistaken, the new pricing model for Data Shuttle and Dynamic View was released last year.
