Issue moving rows to another sheet

Automation to move rows with 'approved' status and 'move to archive' selected. This time, put a filter (Status=Approved) on and checked the 'move to archive' box. Status for ALL rows was changed to approved and all rows were moved to the inactive sheet. Reviewed this with Smartsheet - found nothing wrong. Had to pull a backup to put in place to restore.

I'd like to get back to having others click 'move to archive' and having the automation move the rows. Having some trouble rebuilding the trust with leadership to go back to the automation. No one wants to have this process, which we use daily, disrupted again.

Was it the filter that might have caused the problem? Anyone had a similar issue?

Assuming the automation ran when triggered and set to when the Move to Archive field changed to checked, having a filter of Status is one of Approved with automation to move row to archive sheet should work.

It looks like you are saying this automation changed cell values? There is an action to change values but you would have to select it and you don't want/need to here. A screenshot of your automation would be helpful.
