Sheet populating answer not listed in form options

I created a form with several questions. One of them is a required question, with the only two options for answers being "Yes" or "No". Some of the responses I received have a "CA" listed in the field.

There is a toggle to select "restrict to column values only" that also.has to be checked otherwise people can enter data that does not correspond to your choices

I would suggest the single select dropdown column type for this use case.

Thank you for your response. I should have clarified - it is currently a drop-down question question with a single select option of either "Yes" or "No". I tried to input CA on my own and the form won't let me.

It seems like it might be a bug?
