how to show info of "assigned to" column

Good afternoon all,

New to Smartsheet but enjoying it so far. I have a question about creating a dashboard that shows each "Assigned to" person and how many tasks they have that are blocked, not started, in progress, or completed. If there are any recommended how-to videos on dashboards anyone would recommend, I'd be grateful.

Thank you,

Mike

    Hi Mike!

To achieve this, you would create a report and use the sheet(s) that contain that data as your source. Then when selecting your columns, pick just the columns you want visible on the dashboard. [assigned to/status..etc].You can also filter by status, dates or whatever you need. Then group by associate or status(what ever you prefer).
Once your report is created and set up, you would create a dash board and select to add a Report Widget from the + sign on the right hand side of the dashboard edit section. Select the report you created, and it will add to your dash. I have one here that does the same thing :) Also, be sure to adjust your max rows to 500(highest allowed) to ensure all data is visible. Hope this helps!
