We would like to submit an enhancement request to support user or group-level authentication methods. At the moment, we leverage both SAML and Smartsheet email/password for authentication into Smartsheet at Johns Hopkins. We are planning to convert over to SAML-only in the coming weeks, but have found that we are not able to exclude certain users and/or groups from the requirement (except for system admins, by default). We have a handful of accounts that cannot authenticate through our SSO/IdP, so we allow them to access Smartsheet by signing in via a local email and password. Once we make the cutover, these users will not be able to sign in at all.
The requested enhancement would allow for system administrators to set authentication exclusions for specifics users and/or groups of users.
