Hello All,
I have a manufacturing schedule sheet which lists tasks that are sorted by date. I have a bunch of conditional formatting rules applied to make things easier to read and identify. Each day contains 5 or more tasks on average.
The supervisors who populate the schedule are having trouble when editing rows because they find it hard to see which row they are editing. I have told them to mouse over the row to apply the highlight to the row they are editing but this hasn't seemed to work for them. To fix this they have been adding blank rows after every day to make space between each day but when we sort rows by date all the blank rows end up at the bottom.
I am looking for some suggestions on how to make the schedule easier to read within dates so that the supervisors make less errors editing in the wrong row without having to use these blank rows.
My thought is to make some sort of conditional formatting that looks for the last row in a set of dates and apply a color to the row to signify the last item in that date. I haven't been able to figure out a way to do this so any help /suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks!
