Hybrid Field Type?

I have a list of education levels on a Smartsheet form and I would like the responders to indicate not only which degree they have, but how many degrees of this type they have. For example:

[ ] Associate Degree

[ ] Bachelor's Degree

[ ] Master's Degree

[ ] Doctorate Degree

When a responder checks Master's Degree, I would like a text field to appear to the right of Master's Degree where the responder can type how many Master's degrees they have.

I know that I can add logic for each choice and add additional fields, but I was wondering if there's a better way to display the information. Also, if I had 20 or 30 choices instead of 4, I would need to add additional 20 or 30 quantity fields which makes the form cumbersome.

Any ideas on how I can create a hybrid field type?

Instead of asking "How many Masters Degrees do you have", is it possible for you to shift to "Indicate the highest degree you have achieved" and then "How many"? If you truly need to know if someone has 0 AA's and 2 bachelors and 1 masters and 1 PhD… those are indeed different data points so you'd need to divide them out.

You could alternately make a series of dropdowns "# of Associates" etc. with dropdown values of 0, 1, 2, and more than 2 (or whatever your ceiling may be for your business use case) - defaulting each to 0 on your form.

@Krasi K this is not possible as far as I am aware on core. Your data must be of one of the existing column types, so if the column is dropdown its dropdown if its number its number.

If this UI is critical path you can make a custom form and custom form handler to send data to SMAR but this wll be coding dev work.

Note that when data goes into a sheet at the end of the day it also requires single typing.
