Web Content Widget does not print when printing the dashboard

Hi. I have a web content widget, which is another published report, which I included in a dashboard. It is a Gantt chart. When I print the dashboard to PDF, it does not print that widget only. I get an error saying "Browser print is unsupported". I am using web content widget as a workaround because currently the report will not show current day. Anyone have a solution for this. We have to print to pdf so we can email the report weekly.

hi @Karen Arntz,

Pretty weird behaviour. Have you tried another browser to try to print it?

Normally smartsheet is not blocking anything from Smartsheet so it shall go as well but maybe some permissions in your Chrome are blocking it.

Hi Kowal, Thanks for getting back to me. I tried it in both Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Here is the error I get. I believe this is a Smartsheet message, as the help page takes me to how to print. Below that is the dashboard I'm trying to print. When I look at the PDF, the Gantt chart is not there.

I just checked and I have exactly the same issue I assume smartsheet is not allowing to print the webcontent widgets which would also make bit sense.

But I learnt sth new today :)

what about instead of webcontent where you put the link will you create a widget that is the report you want so show I am pretty sure it will print normally then.

kowal The reason I'm using the web content is because it was suggested as a work around because the current day line does not show up using the report.

oh so the most crazy workaroudn would be to put to the dashboard two widgets one with webcontent that will not be visible while printing to PDF. And another will be the report widget that you can for printing purpuse set the Gantt to start from today after the print is ready you can remove the Report widget.

nothing else comes into my mind .
