Automation fail, and sheet repopulates old data

I am trying to move a line from one sheet to another. I create the automation, run it and test it and it works fine. I submit a request, click acknowledge, and it moves it to the desired sheet. Then I get an email that says the automation is broken and about 50 lines auto populates old data back onto the sheet I am transferring from.

I have removed the automation completely, and when I move a job to the other sheet the old data returns.

Please advise

hi @Aaron.Barthelette,

it's very odd that the data is moved back from destination sheet back to source sheet - i did not know it works this way. I knew it would show up the error and would not move data at all.

Have you done some testing with data form another sheet like making the Copy of Source Sheet or copy Destination Sheet and see whether it occurs all the time.

Have you checked if the name of the columns are the same and your destination sheet does not have a workflow to move the columns back to source sheet?

What exactly is the error message you are getting? How large is the target sheet (rows and columns)?

The sheet is massive, I have double checked all my headers match. The error I get says either the rule was triggered by it self or another and has created an infinite loop. I have completely disabled all automation and my sheet continues to repopulate old data, anytime I move something from this sheet to another the data repopulates. If I delete all the entries, they still return.

I had an automation on my main sheet that was causing the loop, thank you for the help!
