Do update requests route to the next approver at the same instance?

I am trying to have our team update a request before it goes to the next individual for approval request. I'm concerned that both are happening at the same time.

Do you have the update request set to send to multiple people, or do you have multiple update requests set at the same time? Are you able to provide more details as to how you have things set up?

When the form is submitted, it's routed to

our team (only one person) to update, and then hopefully

to the following approver.

Does the update and approval happen simultaneously or is the update necessary before it routes for approval: Step 2:

It depends on if they are part of the same automation, what trigger(s) you are using, and what condition(s) if any you have in place. If they are part of the same automation, they will send at the same time.
