Report not pulling info from sheet #2

Hello,
I am trying to pull the column Tech Level into a report that is pulling from 2 sheets. The report is pulling correctly from sheet1, but I can't get it to pull the tech level column from sheet 2.

hi @Amanda MedinaIW,
from the screens you are sharing those are Sheets not Reports.
I can see you celllinked those and sometimes it needs few minutes to refresh ans show proper data.

@kowal That looks like a report to me. You can see the bottom edge of the report builder in the second screenshot.
@Amanda MedinaIW Have you confirmed that that column is the same type of column and everything on both sheets? When you are going through the columns in the report builder section, hover over top of the column name, and it should show you a list of the sheet(s) that it is recognized in. Does that show both sheets?

Hi Paul,
Yes, when I hover over it, it shows "Tech level helper sheet", but not the other sheet which is "Project Intake Sheet". Does the column need to be in both sheets?
-
Even if you add the column to the second sheet, it won't house any data in the report for those rows unless you put data in the second sheet's column. What would you be expecting to see in the [Tech Level] column on the rows from the second sheet?
-
a 1, 2 or 3. All those numbers are in the sheet "Tech level helper sheet". The primary columns are different in the two sheets. Could that be the problem?
-
Perhaps I can approach the issue differently:
If I add Tech Level column to Sheet 1 (Project Intake sheet) and remove Sheet 2 (Tech level Helper).
Tech levels come from Sheet 3 (Technician Matrix). I would want to pull the tech levels from Sheet 3 on to Sheet 1.
The formula would need to capture the information even when rows move on Sheet 1.
I tried a Match/Index formula but can't get it work.
-
If they are in the second sheet, what column are they in? If you rename that column to match what you have in the first sheet, it should start populating in the report on all rows.
-
I didn't realize you had a 3rd sheet.
An INDEX/MATCH looks like this (typically):
=INDEX({Column To Pull Over}, MATCH([Matching Column]@row, {Column To Match In}, 0))
