Auto Numbering (1, 1.1, 1.1.1, etc)

I am trying to get the Auto Numbering feature to allow row ID numbers that correspond to the level of the task.

e.g. Highest Level task = 1, Next row (indented) = 1.1, etc.

Is this possible in SS?

this problem is already resolved - please search community for existing post on this with formulas and helping columns that resolves this.

Do you have a recommendation on what to look for? I did search the site, but without keywords that would help, I'm at a loss as to where I would find the information.
