Update Request - Create New Request Button in grayed out on my form

You need to select a row in your sheet (like clicking the row # on the left) and then click update request.
I wish it asked me to select the row after selecting the request, alas.

Oh! It doesn't work like I thought it did. I added a couple of fields to my sheet /form and I wanted them to add information to the new fields.

Hi,
This is doable in Smartsheet if i undertand your situation correctly.
You could have an update request with a rule to trigger when a row is updated and then it will add the new columns that you added. (if all columns is active from the beginning)
