Scorecard stopped working

We have a scorecard where we enter data to track different types of event in the department. Its a sheet with 8 squares inside it where we manually enter the data and it turns it into a graph. Suddenly it has stopped working with an error message - "We are unable to process source data please ask admin to select a different date range for the chart" Im the admin, but I don't know how to do this. When I click chart settings all it displays are different templates. Is there documentation somewhere that would explain how to change the date range? Thanks
