Where do the attachments live?

We are starting a project management smartsheet and wondering where our attachments "go". Do we need to still keep a local copy on our drive?

Attachments are saved online with the Smartsheet sheet it is uploaded to. You can upload attachments directly to a row, or just to the sheet in general. Once attached, you can preview and download files from the Smartsheet sheet as needed.
Depending on your files and how you need to access them, it might not be a bad idea to have a backup copy on a drive somewhere- if you ever deleted a row or sheet by accident the attachment would be gone (though in a trash workspace for a while). I usually have copies saved on a OneDrive or in email folders in addition to Smartsheet attachments.
