Control center data update

Hi,

a question about profile data in control center.

If you mark the data as editable, when you edit the data in one sheet, will that update profile data for the whole project?

If you mark the data as one time write, when you edit the data in one sheet, will that update profile data for the whole project?

If you mark the data as link, it has to be updated in the sheet that provisions the project..

Thanks

nic

    Hi Nic,

The easiest is creating it as a "cell link" so that the true source is linked with the value on Intake and you can update profile data for all projects from your Intake sheet.

Otherwise, if you selected something like "one time write" it would write the value from Intake and to modify that value, you would need to manually go to the Metric sheet it had written to and type over the initial value from Intake. That would then change it there, and at the Portfolio level.

    Best,

    Hi Emily,

that post doesnt really answer my question. It helps a little bit. Let me reframe. If I want to be able to update profile data during the course of the project and have it reflected in all the sheets and reports that are part of the project. How do I need to setup the profile data?

Can this only be achieved by using cell link and updating the data in the provisioning sheet?
