Require Conditions to move card from one lane to another in card view

Is there a way for me to essentially "gate" the movement of one card from one lane to another in the card view? Essentially, I have a number of lanes "in planning", "in process", "complete" but I want user to be required to make sure specific fields (columns) are populated before moving from one lane to another… Is this possible?

@nevelev I am not aware of a way to prevent them making the change, however you could use automations to reverse the change (set values back). Would that work?
