I'm working on this and is there anyway for the reports i create to not make changes to the existing working smartsheet? I'm afraid I'm going to mess something up on the working smartsheet. As in, if I move columns will it also move on my working smartsheet? How would I change or identify the primary column in a report? What is pulling this as the primary column? I believe this is where I messed up originally. :(

@Sbolton changing column order in a report just changes it in the report. Primary columnn is defined by the sheets in the report scope. If your source sheet has primary column 'job name' that is what will show up in the report.

If you need to change a primary column you basically have to make a temp column, move all data from primary to the temp, move all data that should be in the primary column from its non primary to the primary, then you can rename the temp column. If you had other things referencing the old not a primary you can change it to a column formula to = the primary column (this should only be used as a temp fix till you can make all the necessary changes to re point to the primary).
