Error: The sheet you are trying to open has been deleted

I published a dashboard with a report so executives can see certain data. The report is published so anyone with the link can view it. However, on the published dashboard at the bottom of the report it truncates the data and has a button that says, "Open source report to view more." When I click that button, I get a message that says "The sheet you are trying to open has been deleted." The report is not deleted, and in fact published, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

    Hi @christopher.williams

The β€œOpen source report to view more” button tries to open the full report using Smartsheet's internal permissions not the public β€œAnyone with link” view Dashboard ink, viewers without direct report access or not logged in see a deleted or can’t be opened error.

To overcome, edit widget behaviour to take no action.

    Cheers.

  • Hello,

Thanks for the response. However, the "take no action" toggle is already on for this widget under widget behavior.

    Best,
    Chris

Ture - seems its a setting only for what happens when someone clicks on it. I just tried on a few of our DB's and as of now at least I can see no way to disable the popup.

    Cheers.
